Maurizio has established a deep understanding of and connection with the terroirs of Tuscany after 30 years as a winemaker. Vigna di Barbischio consists of two small parcels, for a total area of 1 hectare of 40-year-old vines in Barbischio, on the east of the Classico zone.
Sangiovese, the main grape at 94%, is accompanied by other traditional red grapes. Malvasia Nera, which gives colour and roundness, and Canaiolo for aromatics.
