One of the great things about European wine culture is that the people know wine can still be really good without being "fancy". And, they know the occasions that suit those wines.
That's what Sciò is all about. It's so not fancy, in fact, that the winery information doesn't name the grape varieties they use in the blend. We'd bet there's some Nero d'Avola and a little Merlot somewhere in there.
Nonetheless, it's a perfect mid-week wine for casual grilling and appetizers.
