The Faux Vineyards, consisting of La Rode & Camp de la Hire castles, have been located on 23 hectares of vineyards, in the Bordeaux landscape - close to Saint Emilion - for more than 60 years.
Culminating on the heights of more than 110 metres in the heart of the appellation "Castillon - Cotes de Bordeaux", on a terroir recognised for its quality as an extension of the limestone plateau of Saint Emilion, they have been organically farming since 2012.
The wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon, & the extended time in bottle has made the 2015 perfect for popping today. The tannins have had time to soften and the beautiful aromas are well-integated with one another.
